WHAT TO BRING LIST FOR THE CANOE TRIP 

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT LIST:  

All equipment and clothes need to be packed in waterproof containers or zip locks

  Shoes - extra pair                                             Canteen                                                   

  Extra shirts                                                        Small pillow

  Extra pants - long and shorts                          Flashlight and spare batteries

  Underwear                                                        2 pair socks

   Sweater                                                          Raingear

   Fishing gear (if you fish!  16 year olds  need  license)                                        

  Swim trunks                                                      towel   

  Sleeping pad                                                    Toilet kit:

  Sleeping bag                                               .    Eating utensils

   PJ’s - if you use them                                     Water shoes     

 OTHER EQUIPMENT (that you may wish to bring)

Bible                                                                 Camera with film

Sunscreen                                                         Insect repellent Non-aerosol

Small first aid kit                                               Pocket knife (NO SHEATH KNIVES!!!)  

 Orienteering compass                                      Cap or hat

 Sunglasses                                                         

  Games – Uno, Yatzee, Farkel, cards

Can not bring:  Guns, Fireworks, Alcohol, Cell phones, CD players, iPods, MP3 players, unscoutlike t-shirts, excessive jewelry,  knives with blades over 3”, Unscoutlike magazines (Playboy, etc.) tobacco of any kind, laser pointers, electronic games, or illegal drugs of any kind.  Above items WILL be confiscated and returned only to parents or authorities.

PLEASE IDENTIFY ALL PERSONAL ITEMS WITH A WATERPROOF MARKER.  “Sharpie” pen works well.
